The Breeder guarantees the kitten/cat to be healthy at the time of sale (to the best of our knowledge), FeLV/FIV-negative, and free from any life threatening illnesses, infections, internal and external parasites. This guarantee is valid for 72 hours from the time of shipping. During this period of time, the kitten/cat should not be exposed to any ill animals (doing so will void this health guarantee). After the 72 hour period, the Seller can no longer guarantee the cat’s health, except for genetic or congenital defects.
The Purchaser must take the kitten/cat to a veterinarian within 72 hours at the Purchaser's expense. If the veterinarian finds any physical problems that indicate poor health or health risks, and that was present prior to sale, they are required to write and sign a note on his/her letterhead stationery, explaining his/her findings. In the case of such findings by a qualified veterinarian, the kitten/cat may be returned to the Seller within seven days for a full refund or exchange for a new kitten of similar or better quality, if one is available. The Purchaser will be responsible for any shipping costs.
The Breeder guarantees against the death of the kitten/cat due to genetic or congenital defects for one year from the date of purchase (FeLV, FIV, and FIP are not genetic and are specifically excluded). In the event of the death of this kitten/cat due to genetic abnormalities: the Purchaser provides the Breeder with a necropsy by a licensed impartial Veterinary Pathologist at the purchaser’s expense, stating that the cause of death is unquestionably a genetic or congenital defect, and including the description of the kitten/cat’s age, sex, color, and microchip number), the Breeder will replace the kitten/cat with one of the equal quality (if available) or refund the purchase price
The Purchaser agrees that the Seller will be able to discuss freely the kitten/cat’s health information and well being with the Purchaser’s veterinarian; due to privacy matters, the Purchaser agrees to notify his or her veterinarian as to this agreement.
The Seller assumes no responsibility or liability for the kitten/cat or damages caused by it due to Purchaser’s living situation, vet expenses, mortality due to negligence, accidents, or allergy to the animal.
Health guarantee will not be honored if ownership changes.
Under no circumstances will the Seller not be held liable for any veterinary or health care costs occurring while the cat is in possession of the Purchaser.
