Our Background

With a deep love for cats and a professional background in law, I transitioned from being a lawyer to pursuing my childhood dream of working with animals. I have completed various courses in felinology and continue to expand my knowledge through continuous education in the field.

Our journey in breeding Oriental Shorthair and Siamese cats began in 2010, and we are proud to be USDA licensed and registered with the International Cat Association (TICA). Every cat and kitten in our cattery holds a TICA registration.

Our Cattery

Located in Ashland, Ohio, our cattery is truly a part of our home. There are no special facilities or separate buildings; our cats live with us as family members. This home environment ensures that our kittens are well-socialized and accustomed to family life. We carefully trim their nails weekly, and all our kittens are litter-trained.

Our Practices

For safety reasons, we do not allow visitors, except for those picking up their kittens. We understand concerns about scams, but our priority is the safety of our three children. Email is the best way to contact us, as it ensures clarity and keeps all details on hand.

Our kittens are often reserved within the first three weeks of their lives. We protect our customers financially through PayPal transactions and signed contracts. Our goal is to provide you with a healthy, beautiful, socialized, and high-quality kitten with a temperament suited to modern family life. For detailed information on pricing and the adoption process, please visit our Pricing & Purchase Information page.

Health and Care

Our breeding cats are either imported from Europe or born here in our cattery. They have the elegant European body structure we love, along with large, wide-set ears and strong breed type.
At Cataristocrat, responsible breeding begins with DNA. Every cat considered for our breeding program is DNA tested before being bred. Our breeding cats are screened for more than 45 inherited genetic diseases and traits through advanced feline DNA testing, including PRA (Progressive Retinal Atrophy).
We also evaluate blood type, parentage, genetic diversity, and breed-specific genetic markers when making breeding decisions. In addition to DNA testing, our cats are tested for FIV and FeLV and kept parasite-free through regular veterinary care and screening.
DNA testing helps us identify carriers of inherited disorders, reduce the risk of affected kittens, and make decisions based on science rather than pedigree alone. We believe genetic health, diversity, temperament, and overall wellness are all important parts of responsible breeding.
By combining modern DNA testing with veterinary care, pedigree review, and careful selection, we work to produce healthy Oriental Shorthair and Siamese kittens while protecting the long-term future of these breeds.

Our cats and kittens are raised on premium-quality food, with daily care and close attention to their health and development. All vaccinations are given by licensed veterinarians, and each kitten visits the veterinarian at least three times before leaving our cattery.

When they leave our cattery, all Oriental and Siamese kittens come with TICA registration, a microchip, fecal test results, FIV/FeLV test results, a rabies certificate, and a health guarantee. Because we rest our females between pregnancies, we do not produce many kittens each year. Occasionally, we offer retired cats for adoption, requiring a home without other pets or small children.

We do not sell kittens with breeding rights; all kittens leave us spayed or neutered, with this expense included in the adoption fee.

I was invited into their home to spend some bonding time with Siberia and her siblings. We had tea , visited, and played. Wonderful start to a new relationship with my new family addition. Siberia is everything I expected and more. I have nothing but praise for this family and how they conduct business. If I adopt again , they will be at the top of my list.

I recently got a beautiful Oriental Shorthair kitten from this Cattery and the entire experience has been top notch. Olga has been very communicative, helpful and very responsive. I loved that she posts photos and other updates about each kitten ongoing. She also made sure I was a good fit for the breed and provided lots of useful information. And the kitten is amazing! At only 14 weeks old she is fully litter box trained, she’s smart, confident, healthy and very sweet.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Olga has the most incredible Cattery! My sweet Lily has the most beautiful personality and disposition, I couldn't believe how perfectly acclimated she was from the start. The process was incredible, I thought I would be reaching out more but I didn't even need to because she sets you up with your own page which has all her appointments scheduled dates, and how she did after her visit. Frequent photos to watch her grow. Direct and clear pickup and shipping instructions and an entire packet sent home with her. I received a list of her favorite toys, current food, and litter which made her arrival home seamless like she was right at home and you can instantly tell how well-socialized her kittens are.
